LaShaunda thought she knew about grief.  She was a former usher who worked funerals at her church.  She had a business creating obituaries for funerals. She’d lost friends to leukemia and breast cancer.  However,  until she sat on the front pew when her mother died in 2011, did she experience real deep grief.  During her grief she learned about the different stages of grief.  She found many people didn’t talk about grief, but eventually experienced it.  She decided she would be a person who talked about grief. She didn’t want anyone to experience feeling like a walking zombie and not know what to do with those feelings.  She created a blog series and continues to share on social media and podcasts about dealing with grief.

LaShaunda C. Hoffman took her love for books and turned it into an award-winning online magazine, Shades of Romance Magazine - SORMAG Digital.  The multi-cultural literary magazine showcased writers and their books online for 20 years.

In 2015 she published her first book, Building Online Relationships – One Reader At A Time. It is a part of her promotion strategy program – Virtual Tea With LaShaunda were authors and business owners hire her to show them how to create strategic promotion plans that keeps them consistent, building their customer base and increasing their sales.

She started the Social Butterfly Movement to help authors and business owners to become the Social Butterfly they are meant to be.
